The muggy temps outside are almost gone, as the cool downs are forming over the Keys now in the form of dark clouds and rain. The sound of thunder thumps through the sky and simotaneously the push pole makes a buzzing sound almost like as if you were at a World Cup game. As the flow of tarpon starts to thin out on the ocean side, the wave of bonefish that tail through the day will continue to get better. We've sat out the worse downpours the last few days just to experience times when the water stops falling from the sky and bonefish tails begin to pop up all about. The transition is on it's way and though you will still have your shots at late season tarpon, bonefishing will be where it's at very shortly.
