Hey all, I am going to give the SB Harbor and or Beach near the Yacht club a try for Halibut and or perch one night this week. Any tips on getting the Halibut to bite? I heard good things about the green and silver Krockodiles a shot... Are swimbaits worth a try as well? Also, any particular spots around there that seem to do well this time of year?
Thanks.
hey I just happen to catch this, been looking for a boat..lol when you get to the harbor, go up to the SEA LANDING where you buy 1/2 day and 3/4 day fishing fare and ask Adam the manager, or really anyone up there where the bite has been, the breaker wall has worked, and the small beach to the west of that, the plastic grubs I heard work, lime color chartreuse and or white, but crocks have been the best for me, some cases fresh dead anchovie if you can score some. good luck!

Ahhh, I need to clarify now and in the future! Thanks for the comment. I meant Santa Barbara... but I appreciate your input in any event. I love this time of year in California. Halibut, Sand Bass, White Sea Bass and even rockfish still. It is a good time of year to be a fisherman.
when you say SB, do you mean Seal Beach or Santa Barbara? cuz if you mean Seal Beach hit the first oil rig you see and drop anything fish like or squid and bounce around...always some good Butts in there and Sand Bass...and this time of year some Barries.
