What a cold, blustery, tough month to fish. It's truly amazing that there are actually others like me that will brave the elements in March in search of a couple cod fish.



Needless to say, the month of March seems to be nothing more than a boat ride. I made four (4) trips inshore the latter part of the month. The weather on those days was cooperative - unfortunately the bite was not.

thx for the shout...you r right I..I fish mostly with live bait pogies when I can hunt them down and live eels early morning and dusk in close .
Last season was great but just couldn't break that 40 lb all 30 to 40 .. just wanna one close if not at the 50 lb mark. But can't complain fished thru the real lean years 80's and never thought they would come back.
Good luck tomorrow will be lookin for you udate.

Hi Ryan my first friend here lol thanx for the add. I fish out of the Pines River and Winthrop now. During the late 70's had a boat at the Salem Willows and fished that area and Stellwagon..Thatchers. Now that the big bass are back been fishing Boston north looking for my 50 lb for the wall. Great site gets the excitement flowin....thx again Dave
