Palm Beach Fishing Reports

Northern Palm Beach Fishing Report for March 25, 2009 - No offshore report except from northwestern Bahamas. Fishing is poor, perhaps in response to lower water temps due to strong north and east winds. Fishing the Memory Rock area north of West End, GBI only produced one small barracuda this past weekend. No dolphin, wahoo, yellowfin, kings or cero, but a few yellowtail off of the reefs. Yellowfin and ragged fin grouper are congregating on some reefs north of Memory, perhaps in preparation to…See More

Hi Rob,
Just read what you wrote to Gavin John Kelly. Very in depth well written story. I thougth you catch Cubera with whole lobster. A Cubera with a sardine and Yellow Tail with a tangerine, only in the Bahama's. Bahama's the fishing is better than the Keys. That is were we go to fish when we can.
Tight Lines,
Jo

Bet the Yellowtail you caught on a tangerine was in the Bahamas. I fished over for Yellowtail with an guide. They were so easy to catch.
I will try facebook again.

Hi,
Haven't been on Facebook that long but I am unable to bring you up or your pics. Must be doing something wrong. If you go on Facebook maybe you could request me as a friend then I can look? I need more Facebook practice.
Thanks again,
Jo

Hi Rob,
You are living my dream. On a ledge, in the Bahama's and catching with a spinner and 20# test. I used to commerical fish for yellow tail out of my boat in the Keys. Two fish I am still waiting to catch is a Cubera and Sword. I love this website because my second choice would be Australia. What a great opportunity to talk to other anglers. I am also on facebook, that is how I found this website which I prefer. I will check out your pictures.
Thanks,
Jo

Gday Rob,
That fish in your profile pic looks remarkably like a big "Mangrove Jack" that we catch on the tropical reefs in Oz, what is it and where did you catch it?

Thanks for the note Vanessa. I've been here in Charlotte, NC visiting my parents for the last month, and boy do I need a fishing fix. But, I won't get it until mid March. Have fun taming all the redfish and trout up there in the panhandle!
