Overreaction, Guys. Sea lampreys do cause damage to individual fish but they have been doing this for a long, long time without being nearly the problem as that of people who take more than their fair share of fish. Yes, they caused a lot of damage…
I use an Islander 12 on the French Broad River in Asheville, NC (very shallow with rocky bottom) and a Native 12 when I go to Florida (couple of times a year to Mosquito Lagoon, Lemon Bay, and Myakka River). Will be making my first trip to the Tomok…
What is your ideal day of fishing; what method and species to go after the most?
Catching lots of different species rather than a lot of one type
"People ask me 'Does fishing help reduce stress?' Being a savvy, cautious scientist whose ethical responsibilities include never misleading the public about health research, my answer is always the same: 'Not if you're a fish.'" -Paul Quinnett
Mike. We had the best year that we ever had in Canada this year. They have begun to close down all the paper mills and that increased the amount of Salmon that come up into the river. I caught and released 36 Salmon and about 40 brook trout. Have a good one. Gary
Hello Mike. I'm sorry that we were unable to hook up for some fishing. I'm usually always home unless someone asks me if I want to go fishing. I would really like to go fishing with you. When it is convient for you. Send me an email or call me on the land line.

Mike, the 12th is Easter Sunday, so that's definitely out. Monday is probably good. I also just started to learn about surf fishing and I'm excited to try my hand at it. Call me at 321-728-8585. Jim
Hi Mike. Unfortunately, I'm kinda new to kayaking so I don't know any places to put-in in Cocoa. I recommend checking out COCOA KAYAKS on 4404 N US Highway 1, Cocoa, FL 32927-6011, phone: (321) 632-5522, or (321) 242-7544. They can probably help.
I was going to buy a used Wilderness Systems Ride 135, but the deal fell through, so I'm still looking. Let me know when you arrive. Jim
Nice carvings Mike, and sure wish I had your talent. Looks like you have had numerous responses and that is what I like about this site. My neighbor across the street moved here last year and is a retired Stern Wheeler Captain who operated on the Ohio River. He works for the company that has the Mother vessel for kayaks. He has three kayaks himeself as well as an off-shore vessel. I think he spends more time in the kayaks though. My time, (until recently), has been spent catching, tagging and releasing sharks for the U.S. Marine Fisheries Service. Now I just enjoy catching and releasing them as well as local smaller game fish. Of course Homosassa is world renown for it's fabulous Tarpon fishing in May. Didn't mean to ramble on. Anyway, nice carvings, (any shark garvings)?
Mike, I was looking on the map and I see where you live. My family has a house at Black Mountain and I got my RV at Marion from Tom Johnson. I will be going up I-40 next month going to TN on a RV Rally. Again Love you carving.

Mike I was looking at your pictures, did you carve the fish? If you did very nice job. I carved ducks some time ago. But havent done anything in the last 6 yr. Where is Weaverville located.
Hello Mike. There are canals and back waters where you could put in a kayak. Some of them have saltwater and freshwater fish in them, so you will have to get a NC fishing licence. I'm told that some big catfish, have been caught in them as well as sunfish, perch, etc.
