I agree with Jason since I fish the East Cape myself most of the time. If you are heading down there this summer, you will want to keep a close eye on the weather when you get around September, that's hurricane season.....it can be really go…
Jeff; Not sure what I can add for help. There was a ton of squid in the water along with a lot of other bait. We saw plenty of fish, so if the natural bait gets depleted, the bite might pick up (?).

Fished the East Cape area from May 26 through June 1. Fishing was SLOW. Lots of bait in the water and tailing marlin were not too interested in any of our offerings. Managed to only get a few billfish, but my partner did bring a 300 lb Blue to the b…

- yes im still in kona i just posted pics from this week fishing trips didnt fish today my son is here from washington until tue then i will start fishing again . i havent gotten the fishing report from our boats today but will keep postedas i get information the boat that mors nex to us picked up a smaller black marlin and a few other boats picked up severall tuna over 100 pounds and i tnink i saw a cople of ono flags flying .thanks for the shout hope to see you in kona befor i leave for alaska this summer later carl
