JohnBeecher replied to michael hall's discussion Bass season in the group Long Island ,New York"Hey Mike. Sorry for the late reply. Happy thanksgiving. Went out this morning to FI inlet. Threw Diamod jigs with my freind Pete. Had about 10 -12 shorts and two fat 28 inch fish. Big bellys on them. Awsome morning, was home by noon."

I grew up on Jervise Ave. by Tanner Park. Last year I kept my boat acroos from Mill Pond in Bellmore( 1 block west of Wantagh park) Im not sure if Im going to stay there, it takes 20 minutes to get out of the mile long canal. If I can find something closer to the bay in the same area I will take it.I fish mainly from Jones inlet to Fire Island Inlet and alot of surf casting as well.
