Nice fish ! Wish I was there to help you land it ! In many ways salt water strategies are like those on big freshwater ! Migration pattens both north/south and inshore/offshore occur, just keep an eye on the patters and how they are effected by weather and season and you will know how to hunt them successfully ! Good Luck !

Hey Gary,
One day that may happen. I appreciate the offer. I recently upgraded to a bigger boat. Our family has a place on Oak Island. I have fished all my life in fresh and salt water. Salt water has always been from the surf, so I am a green horn when it comes to going out in the ocean. I have been fishing in the back water some. Currently I am getting use to the new fins, and learning the GPS Fishfinder. Absolutely amazing what info those can feed you. One day we may hook up and fish. Thanks again

Wow! I hope you took some good pictures. I leave Monday for three weeks in Florida. One week of paid teaching; one week of fishing my way down the Gulf coast; and one week of fishing my way back up the Atlantic coast. A former student in Miami wants to get her boat in the water and take me to the Everglades. I am selecting lures and packing my tackle box today.

Maybe you and I can meet and wet a hook in August?
Mike

Hi Gary,

A very generous offer that I just may take you up on one of these days. Thank you!

How has the fishin' been down there lately? I was laid off last October and have not found a job yet so though I have lots of extra time money is very tight. Because of this, I have been reluctant to make any trips but am going nuts being cooped up all day.

Take care and good fish'n,

Ron
