Yellow Tail Bite was HOT

Just got back from the Florida Keys and wanted to let all of you know that the yellow tail bite was HOT! We went fishing for them on two seperate days and we slammed them!! All we're flags! 25 inches on the tape measure!! And they were hitting like mack trucks!! We were getting double and triple hits all at once. Needless to say it was mayhem on the boat but boy was it fun!! My kids had a blast with it and so did I. Can't wait to do it again. The tarpon are also starting to appear. We jumped a…See More

The muttons were back with a vengance in the florida keys. We caught 5 in one day, in one spot. Here is a picture of the biggest mutton of the day, caught by my nephiew. The other two caught by my nephiew and my son, Reece and my neighbor caught this HUGE swordfish estimated to weight about 385lbs! …

Here is a pic of the kids with their catch.. they were very proud. They had been learning how to spear some

fish in the keys but never this big so they were very excited...and so were we since two of them are only…

Snapper night fishing

Posted on July 5, 2011 at 6:19pm 0 Comments

Just got back from fishing in the keys and boy was the bite hot night fishing for snapper. We had a great time and caught them up! One thing I never knew about snappers is man do they BITE!! They are like piranahs! I was trying to take the hook out of one of them and he came after me like a pit bull and bit my thumb! Hence the name snapper I guess! We also went yellow tailing during the day, but the bite was slow and we were constantly harassed by teeny, tiny dolphin....too bad there wasn't any… Continue

Hello Elena. What part of Cuba? I am currently aboard the U.S. Naval in support of the global war on terrorism. We usually do most of our fishing on Rio Guantanamo.
Our targeted species around here is Snook and snapper. I have a few pictures of Guantanamo Bay on my face book page if you are interested. I plan on putting more on there but it may take some time.
