I think I'm done for a while with local islands but plan to do a store charter for July tuna in diego. Check with me in the next few days and I'll confirm the charter dates.
Good luck next week, you should do well. the water is still warming up and should only get better.

Hey Chuck, you asked about rod choices...I don't know what you have now but here's some of the basics...
Bass Rod : Phenix 71/2' -81/2' 12- 25 lbs
Reel : baitcaster (curado 300) or small conv reel (trinidad 14 or lesser mod)
Med bait : Calstar or Phenix 7' m or ml 15-40 lb
Reel : Trinidad 16 or 20
Med Hvy Bait stick: 7' 20-50 lb Calstar 700mh
Reel: Avet or saltiga 30
and of course you'll need a jig stick
too many mfg's to list but get a 9' rod and run 30-40lb string, reels are kind of the same...too many choices.
these are just some of the combos you could run with and there are a bunch or choices to match your style / $$.
I got a tackle shop in south pass, if you need something let me know and I'll be happy to help.
