"Hey Capt., if I were to start a benefit tourney, I'd start with your local CCA (Coastal Conservation Assoc.) and fishing clubs. I'd talk with local tackle shops and figure out a weekend that doesn't have another tourney going on.…"

Benefit Tourney Needs Help

This past year I lost a close friend who was a GREAT angler to a short fight with leukemia. Looking to put on an event this May to help with some of his hospital bills, and donate to a charity that helps with reserch into a cure for this accute type of leukemia... Andy was only 30 years old. I've never done anything like this, so any ideas, contacts, or intrests in helping to plan the event is more than appreciated.See More

"A great angler past away this week. He was young, only 29. He was always on the fish and will be missed by many. You can visit www.getwellandy.com to see his story. Look for a flounder tourney soon to help his family."

Sabine is on

Posted on April 28, 2009 at 8:59pm 0 Comments

Several spots around sabine are yielding good fish... Went out and hit last thursday, and pulled down two trout over 20" and two nice reds in about thirty mins. Tide went out and the flounder turned on. berkley grub "green" redfish and trout were caught on live shrimp. Keith Lake cutts are the best if you don't own a boat. As the summer turns up the fish are found along the dike. June -July Anybody interested in taking a trip out to lake sabine drop me a line.

Surfside

Fishing sucked this past thursday... High wind, weak bite. Anyone know a cheap fiber glass guy? I have an old Dargel that needs to be re-decked.

No sir, notta, I am still skeptical, about fishing down there after the storm. I dont own a boat and I am a true wade fisherman, dont know where it would be safe to step out into the water, seriously thinking of getting a kayak. How about you?
