4/1/09 Fishing Report

Hey I did a little fishing yesterday for fun. I had to go down to the lodge on my day off to meet some anglers coming in checking out our new lodge. I pulled my Jim Beam Coastal Triton Bass Boat down to run it and make sure everything was working for my first Redfish Cup tournament in Punta Gorda. I left my dock and headed out to some of the close ponds to see what I could catch.I started drifting in the 15+ winds and much to my surprise the trout were eating up topwaters. I caught 11 trout in…See More

TROUT SLAMA JAMA!

Capt Shane Robin had Dale and his crew out today. With a little drizzle in the morning they headed out to the edges of Breton Sound around Mozambique Pt.

First stop they were hammering the trout. All three of the anglers were rigged up with corks and SWA Chicken on a Chain. The trout were flying in the boat like crazy. Capt. Shane said that the fish were biting good but the GNATS were eating real good!!
