Hey Ben, Been doing real good on the surf past two weeks. South side of Scarboro in Narragansett and even gor a 26" at Sand Hill Cove. Throwing small Tsunami swim baits. Got one Bluefish this evening and got bit off by a larger one near Pt. Judith Light house. Time to put away the light tackle and break out the big boy gear. I used to live in Middletown, so I'd say near you I like Ft. Adams in Newport right near the cable crossing sign with big bunker chunks if your into bait fishing. Or the Surfer's beach in Middletown with soft plastic swim baits or they will be hitting top water plugs soon there too. In a few weeks, when we get a nice west wind for a while, and on a calm summer night, check out Fort Adams about 3:30 in the morning where the ferry takes off from. There should be tons of baitfish under the lights and stripers the size of your leg with them, along with blues. Use small plastic swim baits, top water or what ever you have that looks like the bait. Also have a rod ready with a metal jig to launch at the schools of blues cause when the sun starts comming up, they take off chassing the bait. Just launch out at them, real fast and hang on. Fishing's good here in Narragansett so come check it out. Good luck, hope that helps. Later, RD
Hey Ben, Had my fill of schoolies today off the west wall at the PJ inlet. Stopped counting at 20. Chartruse soft plastics seem to be the most consistant bait. Bait finally showing up there so bigger fish shouldn't be far behind. Anything on your end? Later,
Rob
My Penn 704 Z is still at Quaker Lane waiting for Parts. It has been there since January and I am starting to freak out a little. Guess I better call them today
