Idont kill the fish for an award i keep the fish to eat,just like when i shoot a deer i am not looking for a trophy im a meat hunter... the citation is just a nice bonus plus in VA. WE ARE ONLY ALOUD TO KEEP TWO FISH...so you know i wasnt throwin that one back!

I COULDNT BRING MYSELF TO KILL A BREEDER LIKE THAT. I UNDERSTAND THE CITATION AND ALL BUT CAN YOU TAKE MEASUREMENTS AND A PICK OR DO YOU HAVE TO KILL EM FOR THE AWARD? I WIN AWARDS EVERY YEAR FOR SNOOK AND RELEASE ALL OF OF THEM. I AM NOT TRYING TO BE A PRICK, IM JUST CURIOUS

no it is good! its getting an award for catching a fish over a certain amount of weight.in Va. the weight citation for striper is anything over 40#
