I saw about 20 Snook under a bridge light on Oct. 28th. All were between 20 and 30 inches sitting still and pointing into the current except for 2 that were on the move and well over 40 inches. All fish had their mouths tightly closed for the night.
Yesterday I caught 2 snook by accident while pompano fshing in Stuart, Florida 40 miles north of where i live. that is a good sign cosidering the big freeze fish kill last month. I was pretty freaked out cosidering the water temp yesterday in the indian river was 57+ degrees.

THANKS GUYS. I'm in Oregon now. Not snookin much here. Advice logged!
Fish on !
THAT FISH IS A BEAUTY SCOTTY BUT IF YOU WANT TO SEE HER LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY DO LIKE MATT SAYS. IN THE OLD DAYS I MUST HAVE TAKEN A THOUSAND OR MORE PICS HOLDING SNOOK IN THAT MANNER AND AFTER SOME RESEARCH WE FOUND IT IS IS "SUPER BAD" FOR THE FISH. JUST SLIDE A HAND UNDER HER BELLY FROM NOW ON AND YOUR GOOD TO GO!!! GREAT FISH BRO!!!

Hey Scotty. Nice fish.Try supporting its belly and jaw when you handle the bigger snook. It is bad for them to hang by the jaw. You can damage there organs. Nice fish though.
