Get Ready........ Up at Sekiu last week. Lots of coho. Neah Bay is thicker then fleas, with silvers. A little rain, and they will be here. Also seems to be a lot of Humbolts. I got a 30 pounder. Not much fun to catch. And they take a while to get to the boat. But pretty good to eat that Calamari, when fried in a little butter and garlic. More wild than hatchers there right now. But fun to catch. Water was good, 3 out of 4 days. All in all a good trip.

Made it out on April 5th in the afternoon. The water was unbelievably calm and the weather comfortably warm. Very little current & tide movement. Did move over and catch a couple roc cod for dinner. Stayed on the boat Fri, night and was out early Sat. morning for the shrimp oener. Had our limit and headed for home by 8:30 am. All in all a vey enjoyable outing. Can't wait to find time to get out again.

Sounds like the action is heating up. I've been checking out the reports on John Kiezers newly updated website, www.saltpatrol.com. I figure we'll see some action there.

Let's try to keep the fishing on this site in the salt...Columbia is fresh...but, yes, the springer fishing is "AWESOME"! Thanks.

We are catching Springers at the Mouth of The Columbia and a few are showing up in the Lewis River by Woodland, WA. Let me know if you want more information. Barb
