haven't been there yet but heard the same. we focus on the Tuna Coast, the area within central Panama along the Pacific coast. our experience has been motoring out 20 minutes to hour, start trolling and 3 hours later the deck is bloody with yellowfin, wahoo, sierra trout, dorado, and a sail fish or marlin release. Cabo San Lucas 20 years ago.

Just heard from a friend after a 10 day trip to Tropic Star Lodge. Said it was over the top good with action on Black Marlin, Wahoo, Roosters, Durado and lots of Sailfish.....also said the service and acommodations were FIRST CLASS....

Yep, I have been fishing the Tuna Coast (Azuero Peninsula) for three years now. It reminds me of the way The Sea of Cortez used to be.

Panama is one of my favorite places to fish. The ocean is loaded with wahoo, tuna, dodos, marlin, grouper, sierra mac and snapper. More pics please!
