since the begging of the season the CHARTER BOAT MONTAUK has been sailing daily and limiting out on bass from 25- 54 lbs, this week alone weve had over 5 fish over 40 lbs, and were catching them with the wires and live herring, wich have entered the harbor and have been steadily caught on herring rigs and livelined catching fish up to 42 lbs, on saturday we caught fish up to 54 lbs on the wires, the customers went home an hour early due to "cant reel in anymore" syndrome, they limited out on 12 bass in 45 mins. fishing is at its peak and the charter boat montauk has 2 weeks left in the water so book now check us out at charterboatmontauk.com we specialize in family groups with our family friendly bussiness.
Got out wednesday afternoon surf fishing Fire Island Inlet, incoming tide. Landed one 30" bass with a belly like football, nice fight in the currant. Released to grow a little bigger.
Hey Mike. Sorry for the late reply. Happy thanksgiving. Went out this morning to FI inlet. Threw Diamod jigs with my freind Pete. Had about 10 -12 shorts and two fat 28 inch fish. Big bellys on them. Awsome morning, was home by noon.
Nice going John. winds are supposed to really blow tonight, should wreck the weekend fishing damnit

Fished a least once a week when the weather permitted. I feel like the spring bass runs are getting better around here and fall run hasnt been as good as years past. What do you think?
