Elwin, I don;t think I can help you in the Savnnsh area. But if your west central florida we could talk about good fishing places. Hope you find the big one.
Try to find some rocks and or jetties sheephead are everywhere, fiddlers or bluecrab legs
If you can find a weekend that the wind will cooperate (good luck) and have the boat to do it, the gulf stream reports have been pretty good from the ones who have made the trip recently. The wahoo bite is usually pretty stong this time of year up until early summer. I've heard of some sailfish and blackfin being caught. Most Ga anglers fish the Deli, South Ledge, and North Ledge drops. The Deli and Triple ledge will be the closest for those leaving from Savannah. Here's a decent link to the coordinates: http://www.sstcharts.com/ga_targets.shtml (I personally have not used these numbers but they should at least put you within eyesight of other boats even if they are a bit off).
If you arent up for a bluewater trip then hit some nearshore wrecks/reefs for sheepshead like Randy said. You can find most all of the coordinates for these areas online also, or just buy a Hotspots chart from Bass Pro. Make sure you have purple fiddler crabs, most all the marinas have plenty right now. Good luck, let us know how you do.
