Hello all, Hope everyone has a great new year. Like most of the people it seems here in Palm Coast, I have recently relocated here from upstate NY. I dont know how or where to fish the shore lines, I have tried dang near everytype of bait i can get my hands on and have fished everywhere i have seen others fishing. I ask for help in rhe bait shops but usally get the deer in the headlight look. I just wanna hook something big i release anything i catcht , I keep hearing about fishing the tides and such but dont really understand what that means, Appreciate the input and looking forward to hear from you. bigweelz379.

Glad to hear from you Scott, theres alot to fishing the tides, it ranges from the location your at, to the baits your using, as well as the fish your trying to target. The best thing to do is find a good online weather source with Accurate tides that are posted regularly rather then a generic chart for a season or year like some use. Ive found that CyberAngler.com is very good to use, it offers tides, and sunset/sunrise as well..its very easy to use. From there you can start targeting the fish you want to catch..some fish prefer to come in with the tide were some prefer to come in when its leaving to catch the baits running back out.. being on the Palm coast you have more variety then i do over here, which is a good thing. If you are having problems with the local tackle shops not being to giving on the local knowledge of what where and anything else, then just do what i do, go for a walk and start talking to people. When you see someone on the pier ask them whats biting, same with the beach and any other place thats fish-able. and even some that arent. Ive found that sometimes just being there is half the battle. and alot of times you can make some good friends that are willing to take you under their wing and teach you their ways lol..well this is alot to listen to, but like i said start watching the tides and watchin whats caught or even whats just around to be caught, if you wanna ask anything else feel free. Im always willing to share some knowledge and info to a fellow fisherman
Hello. Well thanks for the reply, I have found a couple fishing buddies but they are both as new to ocean and Florida fishing as i am . But I will go check out that website, I found a friend online who now lives in Cal. but is in the process of moving back to the Palm Coast area. He has been a avid fisherman here for all his life so I made him a deal, I will buy the coffee, bait and gas and he will show me how to hook a pole bender!!! Thanks again and ill let you know how i make out, hopefully ill have some pics to post.Lord Bless, Scott.
Great advice and tips Jo u da man!
