welcome a warm welcome to Steven cockerill and Scott Swart i add the word" warm" just hoping the weather would become a little more bearable ..lol i went out tonite( jan 03 ) and almost froze my butt off..man its was cold!!! hooked i trout and released it ..ok so much for my talk.
Steve i have found fresh dead shrimp to work best for red fish , but u can aslo try Cut squid, all work for these fish when placed on bottom rigs or drum rigs, which have a single hook and a weight. Larger chunks of cut mullet and menhaden work for the larger drum that may be found in the ocean. Red drum will also take live bait, such as pinfish, spot, and mullet, although whole blue crabs are perhaps the best baits to use in inshore and backwater locations.

Scott i am not aware of the Palm coast area but i am sure they have peers and other spots u can try. Also dont not forget to purchase a fishing license. I will try and find out from other source about areas around palm coast and will let u know.
