I am losing my patience with these Jet Ski tours going through the 10,000 Islands! I see them blowing through fertile fishing areas at mach speed, or flying through narrow creeks. What they don't realize is their wakes from a dozen ski's just kick up debris covering the plant life and it slowly kills the vegitation. No photosynthesis for the aquatic plants if their covered in mud! No plant life, no fish!
Something needs to be done, keep them off the beaches infront of their Resorts!
"BAN THE JET SKI FROM THE ISLANDS"
Something needs to be done!! I want to see what everyone thinks about this and maybe together we can do something about this issue, together we stand the more we can do!!
A word of caution... with efforts to ban motor boats from some areas in the 'glades Nat'l Park, any effort to ban PWCs may encourage banning of all motorized water craft..... just sayin'.
I fished in the islands this weekend and was blow out of two major bites in creeks way up the river by ten jet skiers doing mach speeds with the first dumb@#$ turned around and taking pics! Who are they and what are they doing, ever heard of Bull Sharks,Blacktips and Lemondicks those aren't the sharks you want to be swimming with at least not me go offshore and jet ski
If a petition gets started against jet skis in the 10000 Islands area please make sure everyone on Saltwaterindex.com (Florida)is aware of it so that we can sign it.
