That is what we call a wolf herring. only because of its size.

Can anybody identify this fish? It was caught near Hinchenbrook (Lucinda) in Queensland on live bait in June or July. I haven't been able to identify it at all. Any help appreciated. Cheers!

Hey guys, did you see the Gold Coast Bulletin pic of the guy that caught a big Barra on the gold coast today?

Well worth a look.

Ive been working on my blog and its coming along pretty good. Unfortunatly I havent got many followers yet!!!! Come on and check it out. You may even learn something about your boat.

Cheers and see you out there.

Blackwatch has now offically shut shop. Now what? Was looking at a new boat but may need to look elsewhere. Might look at Eureka game boats... Anyone heard anything about them?

Hi Gang, fished the Greenback on the weekend, not used to these all nighters, land some nice tailor & bream though, one Tailor went over the 2kg's but not enough to win the tourament that was one by a 3.5kg tailor, the winner picked up $1500 for that one, some nice fish caught, a 4kg Flathead was the biggest. Bag limit on each species was limited to 5 for total weigh in, 16kg's was the top bag weight I think, mine was 10kg's for 5 Tailor & 5 Bream to do any good I would have to fish for other species like Dart, Flathead, Luderick, Whiting & Jewies ( which is funny the biggest this year was only 1kg+ in all Div's) Anyway a good weekend, great weather this year I will be doing it again next year, put it on your calendar June long weekend Cabarita Beach NSW. See You There Tight Lines P.S. they give prises away all day as well as prizes for the biggest caught in each species.

hey guys heads up for hervey bay the winter whiting havent been biting much of the beaches couple more weeks should fix that, 2 to 3kg bream being caught of the urangan peer seen a few parrots pulled in of the rockwall along with some white tips, hint for players, if u pull in a happy moment dont sit on the spike my house mate unaware of the dangers of sitting on the peer had parked his ass smack bang on the spike(hehe) i never seen anyone jump as high as he did. point vernon is the spot for grunters and susan river has been productive with threadfin and some jacks..cheers ppl good luck fishin.

Hi Gang, If anyone heading for the Greenback tournament, weather has settled down but made a mess of the beach's and rock wall at Kingy, lot more rocks exposed on south beach, been some bream & small choppers caught, still water is abit brakish with sand but hopefully a good couple of days will change that. Tight Lines
