Event Description
Florida's Yamaha Contender Miami Billfish Tournament is a magnet for deep sea fishermen. With over US$238,000 to be won, it's well worth entering. The docks at the Miami Beach Marina come alive with music and the weighing of prize catches.
The tournament promotes fishing as a fun sport for all and presents prizes in several different categories. This year's schedule is posted on the tournament's website as soon as it is available. Daily dockside parties, open to the public, feature raffles and food and drink specials.
The tournament was founded over 20 years ago in an effort to raise money and awareness for marine conservation.
